HONDA RUNE PRESENTED TO INDIANAPOLIS 500 TONY FOYT AWARD WINNER Torrance, California: American Honda is pleased to announce that a Honda Rune motorcycle was given to Matt Jonsson, crew chief for race winner Sam Hornish Jr. at the 2006 Indianapolis 500. Since 1984, the Tony Foyt award has been presented to the winning crew chief in the Indy 500, and to compliment this celebrated prize American Honda elected to present the six-cylinder Rune to this year's winning crew chief as an additional honorarium. At the awards ceremony, a delighted Jonsson said, "That's the biggest motorcycle I've ever seen! I'm sure Roger Penske will want to ride it." The Honda Rune is a one-of-a-kind, limited production motorcycle that was brought to life from a concept bike. The Rune is not only the most powerful cruiser Honda has ever produced, it is also arguably the most extravagant demonstration of styling, engineering and production prowess ever to set two wheels on paved roads.
